Space Management is responsible for tracking space, recommending space assignments, performing evaluations of space use, analyzing space utilization, and recommending reassignments of space. Space Management also advises on best practices for effective utilization of space.
It is the vision of the Space Management team to work with University departments to ensure that the value of Space Management technology is understood and is used appropriately. The Space Management team strives to be a professional, customer focused, responsive, and effective provider of space management services in a cooperative framework. Our objective is to provide support to the strategic planning processes by supplying accurate and timely information, analysis, and advice to inform decision-making and re-allocation processes.
Our mission is to maintain the most accurate possible institutional space data and make that data available to the university community as a resource for making decisions that positively impact our university. In addition to maintaining the data, Space Management also works in conjunction with Campus Planning, Architects and Engineers, and other university departments to use the data to make the best possible decisions regarding the university’s built environment.
