CDI

The CDI project will construct an approximately 70,000 gross-square-foot building to provide UC Riverside with critically needed classroom, class laboratory, and research space to allow campus to serve current and future faculty and students. UCR has seen an approximately 120% growth in enrollment over the past 20 years, and 76% over the past decade. Construction of a new facility would significantly improve the campus inventory of engineering-related instruction and research space, and help to address the current pinch points that hinder continued program growth.

The project is currently in the Planning/Programming phase, which is anticipated to complete in February 2025. Design and construction phases are contingent upon fundraising efforts, and do not presently have identified schedules.
